Hi gang,
Saturday we had a welcome visit from Doc Ian, and Norman [the Elder]
Winter. Norman has spent the last 5 months in the UK visiting his daughter
and had a few tales to tell.
We had a good turnout, with Kev leading the way. Present were Rory,
Doc Ian, Norm the Elder, Tony Santos, Bernard, Yakity, Reggi and of course
myself, Norm the Younger.
Tony, with the help of Bernard and Yakity were sorting out the doors.
Norm the Elder and Doc Ian were checking the wire locking done on the
engine baffle plates by Darrel last week.
Reggi was working on the numbers on the port side.
In addition, Reggi and myself managed to scrounge the air trolly and
pumped up the nosewheel of the Mirage111 cz.
Alan Wienberg was doing his best as tour guide.
Sabre
John Durrant and his following were ever present doing their bit to
spruce up the Sabre.
Last week with the Shackleton engine run, we were all supprised with
the appearance of a 1942 Fire Truck driven by Wo Howel.
